Seem like Cardi B is giving Nicki Minaj compliments on being a Dominating Rapper, despite having a beef with her
Despite having a complicated relationship with Nicki Minaj; Cardi B seemingly praised her for being a very Dominating Female Rapper in the musical industry for a long time.
On 7th August, Cardi B in an Apple Music Interview talked about her new album “WAP” and about the legacy of female rapper. Cardi B didn’t specifically mentioned Nicki Minaj when she was talking about her childhood and the then-rappers; which lead her to suggest one particular woman who is still “Dominating” the musical industry.
Cardi talked about how there were a lot of different female rappers when she was six, seven, eight years old. As she continued, Cardi B explained “And then there was a time that there were no female rappers at all. I had to keep replaying song from the early 2000’s. I had to keep replaying it, replaying it, replaying it because for a while there were no female rappers.”
As Cardi B continued, “And then there was one female rapper that dominated for a very long time. And she did pretty good job; and she is still dominating.”
As we can see Cardi B did not explicitly took Nicki Minaj’s name but the implication was clear enough and strong.
And on all this there was a huge reaction from the fans. As the fans raised question as to if Cardi B was actually talking about Nicki Minaj or not. One of the fans came up and tweeted, “Cardi can you please clarify? Were you talking about Nicki Minaj in this? A lot of us would love to see a collab between you two. It’ll be great for the culture.”
Whereas another one wrote, “I just want Cardi and Nicki to squash the beef so they can be great together.”
Another one of the fans came up in support of collab between Cardi and Nick by writing, “I would love for Cardi and Nicki to link up for a song”.
Both the artist had a massive fight almost two year ago in September 2018 in the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party at the time of NYFW; and after that Cardi B wrote a quite lengthy post, where she claimed that Nicki Minaj said ill things about her offspring the 2 months old daughter Kultuer.
But people that wasn’t the end of it all, nope absolutely no; there was another high tension mountain build up in between the two artist. But since 2019 the beef between these two artists is quite silent and calm.
Lets hope for the best and just wait for the time when this beef between two artist ends. And the Fans can actually enjoy their collab.
