Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s Divorce case is hit with another roadblock
The negotiations regarding the divorce between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are further dragged; as Angelina Jolie has filed for a replacement for the private judge John W. Ouderkirk, who is currently overseeing their divorce case. Jolie is concerned that there is “something untoward is happening”.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have a bifurcated divorce which actually means that they are legally divorced; and only the matter of child custody and all financial issues are left to negotiate.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children together. Maddox aged 19, Pax aged 16, Zahara aged 15, Shiloh aged 14, Vivinne and Knox both aged 12.
The exes adopted Maddox, Zahara and Pax; while Shiloh and the twins Vivinne and Knox are Angelina and Brad’s biological children.
The papers which are filed in the Los Angeles Superior court states that, “Matters that judge Ouderkirk did not ultimately disclose until [Jolie’s] counsel conducted her own inquiry into missing disclosures, which left [Jolie] without an…. [Understanding] of the professional relationship between the judge and [Pitt’s] counsel.”
Jolie’s lawyer found out that the fact the judge Ouderkirk’s relationship with respondent’s counsel had continued and expanded into 2020.
And that its believed that judge Ouderkirk has worked on numerous undisclosed cases for Pitt’s lead attorney Spiegel and one another attorney Kiley.
The fact that there were increasing business relationship between the judge Ouderkirk and Pitt’s attorney; a relationship which was providing a steady flow of income to judge Ouderkirk and more of future potential work.
To which Jolie’s attorneys have demanded to disqualify the current judge [Ouderkirk] as a remedy for the judge’s failure to disclose the on-going financial and professional relationship between himself and respondents attorneys which has led to a doubt of impartiality.
The proceedings of the divorce case between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are going on for four years.
Though it is very unclear as to why the matters is dragged on so long, Jolie has previously also filed to keep their court documents sealed just to make sure of the privacy.
Although in a recent interview with Vogue while talking about World Refugee Day, Angelina Jolie opened up about her relationship whit Pitt.
“I separated for the wellbeing of my family”, as she continued she added, “It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds”. Jolie say all her six children are very brave and very strong young people.
Brad Pitt was also investigated for alleged child abuse during their split to which he was cleared of all allegations.
