The character named David, his friend Eric, Olivia and Natalie, along with David’s drug addict sister Mia travel to a remote cabin to spend few days together. The cabin originally belonged to David’s parents. While exploring the area, they discover a basement with witchcraft and having a book of the dead also present there, Eric (one if the character) wrongly reads something from the book and inadvertently summons a devil force. Get out (2017) is an American horror film. It was directorial debut of Jordan Peele.

The movie follows as a young Afro – American and his girlfriend go upstate to visit her parents for the weekend. At first, the black guy reads the family’s overly accommodating behaviour as a nervous attempt by her parents to digest their daughters interracial relationship but as the time goes, a series of disturbing discoveries happens in his life which leads the guy to the truth he otherwise never could have imagined. The film also talks about the identity politics of the contemporary America.

7. THE EXORCIST (1973)

An actress Chris mcneil relocates to Washington with her 12 year old daughter Regan. Both mother and daughter sharing a good relationship, but after a while Regan starts to behave very strangely. After getting no solution from medical treatments, Chris resorts to a Catholic priest and a physiatrist to see whether an exorcism might be the true answer to her daughter’s problem. The story narrates the father’s face off with the devil.

The movie follows William, who disposes off dead bodies and makes them disappear for the gangsters. Although he doesn’t like to do the job, but due to circumstances out of his control, his farm house has eventually become a dumping ground  for the casualties happening in Gang wars in the nearby city. Things takes a new turn, when a women’s body is dumped and in the process of disposing off William finds that she is actually not dead. The story is set in the year 1905. In 1905, Thomas, a Christian missionary goes to a remote island to save his sister who is kidnapped by a cult. Thomas hides his real identity and tell his acquaintance as a lad who is seeing a girl, telling people of island that the girl’s parents are not approving their relationship.
