From the days of “Fantastic Four” to till date of him being one of the fittest and hottest actors in Hollywood, Chris Evans has surely captivated the hearts of lots of girls and made many bodybuilders jealous of those ripped muscles and broad shoulders.

Chris Evans has come a long way in his career as an actor. He is barely recognizable from his first appearance as a superhero in fantastic four. He has worked a lot and it shows from those ripped up muscles and broader shoulders.

He needed to bulk up for his role of Captain America, as to portray human fighting machine he needed to work on his muscles, stamina as well as strength.

As in an old interview Chris revealed that it took him three months of training and he wasn’t looking forward to it.

It took him months and hours grafting in the gym and on high protein diet plan to pile up that 30 pounds of size. Working only on two muscle groups was the main motto or can say principle of his workout regimes. He would work on two muscle groups whether it be chest and back or the biceps and the triceps, he would destroy them for almost two hours and then cool down with core and abs exercise.

It was a two hour grafting in the gym from Monday to Friday for three months with Saturdays as resting day and Sunday a day to fight the fatigue out.

He’d mix a number of weighted and bodyweight exercises together which were effect yet simple. To achieve the improvement in strength he involved gymnastics and plyometric in his workout regime while focusing on strength and stamina as well.

As the film was a blockbuster worldwide, Chris Evans now had to put in more hard work to match up to the level of Norse god Thor and the man who could diminish a whole building with just punches, the man who would turn in to gamma-ray monster with incredible power and strength and then comes the high tech master Iron Man. Chris had his work cut out for him for the film “Avengers”.

He had to bulk up even more to match up to his team members. With increasing the difficulty in his workout regimes, making him gain more muscles and look more ripped had him workout like hell.

With the third film as the Captain America in “Captain America: Winter Soldier” he spent arduous months getting ripped and fast.

He kept away from the cardio sessions as they could take away the bulk which was built after so many months of hard work. His cardio sessions were replaced with circuits.

Chris Evans diet was strict and balanced; his main source of protein as meat and fish, with a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables and crabs.
