There are few names that always pops up to our minds when we talk about action movies, thriller movie or a suspense movie not only because of their acting skills but also because of their commendable physique and fitness, be that Dwayne Johnson or Arnold Schwarzenegger and not to forget Sylvester Stallone these few are not just names …. They are the brand of action and thriller movies. And then comes to Keanu Reeves he is one of the power house of action movies, the starpower of action movies in the Hollywood industry.

The 55 years old Canadian actor, musician, film producer and director Keanu Reeves made his film debut in the year of 1986 with the film “Youngblood”.

Keanu Reeves has a very different energy which has always captivated the whole audience, from his iconic and mind blowing action sequences in the history of action films in the film “The Matrix” to his science fiction film “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, Reeves acting skills have always done it job of captivating the audience without fail.

He did disappear from the film industry for a time period and after a long list of commercial failure, Keanu Reeves didn’t give up and once again made a rebound in his career in the year of 2014.

2014 brought the lime light back to Keanu Reeves with the action thriller film series “John Wick” directed by Chad Stahelski. The film was not the only crucial part; his age was also not very kind to him and added a huge challenge to his workout sessions.

The impact of age wasn’t deniable; he had a lot of work cut out for him when it came to getting himself into shape for an action thriller. As his trainer Patrick Murphy said that it’s was a very difficult to play the role of John wick for his body. Not just with getting ripped up for the movie was important, a lot of martial arts and combat training was also required for him to achieve what he actually did in the first instalment of the series.

Keanu Reeves was 50 when the first instalment of John wick came in the theatres. Reeves had adapted to a circuit work out regime which had at least 20 reps of each exercise while pushing his strength and flexibility to it top notch quality.

By the time the third instalment of the “John Wick” film series came out, Reeves was 55 years old and even so if he defied the aging and looked as young as he was in his early 30’s it still was difficult for him to beat himself to fighting shape.

And even with the challenge of age he still managed to ace the task in hand of portraying a deadly contract killing machine, with no fear and no remorse.

It was a high volume yet low impact work out especially designed for him so that he could gain muscle, strengthen his core and would not have a high risk of getting him injured while training.

Keanu Reeves despite of having many disadvantages still managed to cement all of his stuns and again captivating his audience.
