This Netflix thriller is the first original of this year. Shweta Tripathi’s, Anchal Singh and Tahir raj Bhasin remains at the centre of the entire series. The web series has 8 episodes. And slightly inspired by Shakespeare’s play Othello. Well, that remains an inspiration to lot many directors e.g., Vishal Bhardwaj’s omkara.
Director Siddhartha Sengupta has filled this series with immense twist and turns. The series starts with the male protagonist Vikrant (Tahir raj Bhasin). He lives in a fictitious town of onkara. Vikrant is as simple small-town man with simple dreams. He dreams of getting job as an engineer in the steel factory and marrying his childhood beloved (Shweta Tripathi).
Vikrant seems to despise the way of life of his father who is an accountant to the politician akheraj who is politician. Under his leadership there is no fear of law and police.
The daughter of Akheraj, purva (anchal Singh) is playing an obsessive lover of Vikrant. She has an eye on him since the school days. Vikrant knew at the first sight of her that she was a trouble. She goes to any length to get Vikrant in her life. Anchal Singh played a convincing role by getting into the skin of an obsessive lover.
Shweta Tripathi never stops to mesmerise us by her acting talent. As far as Tahir raj Bhasin is concerned he has given great cinematic pieces earlier.
Sengupta makes sure that the tone of the series remains intact with the changing nature of the characters. Also, Every episode comes with an element of surprise.
Above all,the veteran actors like Saurabh Shukla and Brijendra kala have hit our senses right at the spot with their acting skills. friend of Vikrant Golden has given a good comic turn to the series.
In conclusion the series after dragging for last two episodes comes to a logical half-baked conclusion. But that keeps the fans guessing for the sequel of it. The acting prowess of all the actors remains on point and leaves a lasting impression
