Today a video of a stranger boycotting Ajay Devgn’s car has gone viral. The Bollywood actor was made to stop his vehicle in the middle of the road and the stranger recorded the video questioning his stand on farmers’ protest. A 28-year old man who made this happen has been arrested for harassing the actor outside Goregaon Film City.
Rajdeep Singh, the stranger who was later identified, was a local resident. He was from the northern suburb of Santosh Naga. He was originally a native of Punjab originally. It was reported and clear in the video that Rajdeep Singh Ji was questioning Ajay Devgn that why has he been quiet about the new farmers’ acts. He wanted answers from the actor about why he has not come out to support the farmers.
Mumbai Police reported that the incident took place around 10.30 in the morning. Singh had blocked Devgn’s car and he strongly believed that since the actor has been quiet about it, that simply means he is against Punjab for siding with the oppressors. He questioned his stand and silence.
An officer reported that it was Devgn’s bodyguard Pradeep Gautam who filed the first information report against Rajdeep Singh and therefore Singh was arrested. Rajdeep Singh has been charged with IPC sections 506, 504, and 341 referring to criminal intimidation, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace, and wrongful restraint, respectively.
Ajay Devgn has been busy with various projects for filming as well as promoting including RRR, Mayday, Gangubai and Maidaan.
