Tandav has been part of controversies since Amazon Prime released it in January. The show has received mixed reviews since its release but the makers of the show have received tons of registered cases against the content of the show. It is believed that the show has hurt the sentiments of many throughout the series. It is targeted to insult one community.

The makers had issued an apology to the audience for hurting the sentiments of the public unintentionally. Amazon Prime India issues a similar unconditional apology for doing the same now. Their apology consists of regretting that the viewers of the show objected to certain scenes in the shows and found that it was insulting or offensive to their community in any way. This was never the case and the show was never meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Amazon Prime India went on to say that they do respect each viewer’s beliefs and are sorry to each one who felt that the show was offensive. They subtly justified the show that the show did not break any law or guideline. They believe maybe it is time to update them. They will go on and develop better content for the audience and keep them entertained, while they will also consider the guidelines respecting all sorts of religions, communities, cultures, and beliefs of the viewers.

Earlier in January the makers and Amazon Prime India had confirmed that they have deleted the objectionable cuts of the series that seemed offensive and were given to them by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Tandav stars Saif Ali Khan as the protagonist alongside Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sunil Grover, Kumud Mishra, Gauhar Khan, Dimple Kapadia, and more. The series was released on January 15th this year.
