Sushant Singh Rajput, Sameer Sharma, Asif Basra, Kushal Punjabi, Chitra, and now another name added to the list of actors we lose to Suicide. That name is Sandeep Nahar.
Sandeep Nahar has been seen in movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Kesari playing key minor roles and sharing screen with Sushant Singh Rajput and Akshay Kumar. He was also seen in the productions of Alt Balaji’s “Kehne ko Humsafar Hai” web series.
There was no doubt that the actor had committed suicide as he took to social media, Facebook, and posted a long and equally disturbing video note explaining his decision to end his life. It is reported that the actor took his life and his body has been sent to post mortem. Reportedly, his wife was present at home at the time of the incident and rushed him to the hospital when she found out what had happened. He was announced dead at the hospital.
The actor claimed in the suicide note – video that the reason behind the suicide is the constant blackmailing from his wife, Kanchan Sharma and her mother. He had mentioned certain politics in Bollywood, which was still manageable by him. He later added that he is not able to take it anymore and had decided to take his life. Sandeep Nahar did not want people to blame his wife but definitely get her brain treated, in the transcribed message of the video.
It is extremely disheartening to see to lose so many people to suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death had created a wave of mental wellness on social media but it seems that it is not prevailing. Kindness and the skill of listening can help people in many ways. And hopefully that Sandeep’s message can make people have an introspection of how they treat other people.
