Blackbuck comes to haunt Salman Khan and his co-accused pals once again. To give a small recap the star cast of infamous Hum Saath Saath Hain went down hunting in the forests during their shoot in Jodhpur and allegedly hunted a blackbuck back in 1998. They were partnered with a localite Dushyant Singh.

The last we heard about the case was that Salman Khan did not show up at the last hearing, his attorneys using the pandemic as a reason. The party claimed that it was not safe for the actor as they felt the hearing was not being proceeded with proper safety measures against Covid-19. A source confirmed that the actor’s attorney pled that they had witnessed large audiences inside and outside court at all hearings and it is not called for at the times of pandemic. His attorney also confirmed that Salman Khan was called in after 17 exemptions.

Meanwhile the district court accepting the situation came up with a decent solution. To go forward with the hearing Salman Khan needs to be present via video call.

The session is going to have a small rift as there will be two very different appeals to be dealt with on the day of hearing. Rajasthan government’s appeal against Salman Khan, Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Sonali Bendre and localite Dushyant Singh. While Salman Khan will be challenging his five-year sentence against the accusation of poaching.

Outside Court house

HM Saraswat, Salman Khan’s attorney informed that after raising the actor’s concerns the counsel was moved to the High Court. The counsel also agreed that the accused may attend the hearing virtually.

Other Co-Accused

The case has been put off for a while and pandemic did seem to side with the actor in this matter. It is only a matter of time we hear the final verdict in this case, hopefully.
