The movie will have talent pack of Boman Irani, Ratna Shah Pathak and Shalini Pandey as the love interest of Ranveer Singh in the movie. Above all, this movie is the Bollywood debut of Shalini Pandey who rose to fame in Telegu movie arjun Reddy.
According to our sources, Shalini Pandey was able to impress the producers with her excellent screen test. Hence forth producers casted her right away.
Divyang Thakkar is directing the movie and producer is Yash raj banner.
This movie revolves around the man Jayesh who believes in equal rights of men and women.
The film earlier was supposed to be in theatres on 20 October 2020. The pandemic covid 19 kept pushing the release date of the movie. The makers of the movie are still looking for right date to release the movie.
The new date for releasing the movie is 25 February 2022.
In a recent interview, Ranveer Singh has told that this movie is that kind of movie which will make you cry and laugh at same time. Adding to this he said that this movie is very lighthearted. Adding to which, The 83 stars admitted that he always wanted to do movie from this genre. He revealed that the film talks about social issues in a comic way. But the comedy comes with hint of tragedy too.
Ranveer Singh has really worked hard to get into the character of Jayesh bhai, the Gujrati businessman. He has lost lot of weight to be in the skin of the character. Everyone is appreciating his devotion.
The shooting of the movie took place at multiple places in Gujrat and Mumbai. Earlier Ranveer has also shared hid pictures from the set where he is wearing a bruised look.
