Just a few hours before the “Call Me Daddy” podcast in which Miley Cyrus opened up about her relationship dropped; the news of the split between Cyrus and Simpson came in front.
They have officially called it quits in their relationship. Even though the reason behind it is very unclear; still it is confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have called it off on 13th august.
And to think that Cody Simpson was totally head over heels for Miley Cyrus and gushed about how much he was in love with her just shy of two weeks ago. Cody posted a candid picture of the pair posing in the car while he captioned it as “In love with my best friend”.
The started dating in some time around October 2019 and were pretty much inseparable. They adopted a rescue dog which they named Bo; while Cody Simpson dedicated poems for Miley Cyrus in the book Prince Neptune: Poetry & Prose.
“Being with Miley is a wonderful thing in my life….she is creative and inspiring, fiercely independent and encourages me to be my own person, too. We are both creative individuals who support one another with our work”; is how Cody gushed over Miley to “The Sydney Morning Herald” in some time around April.
While this may all come in surprise to many; but Miley has declared that she “doesn’t belong to anyone” in the “Midnight Sky” musical video; which confirms that they are officially over.
During the live video on Instagram after the news of their split break out; the singer came up front as she said, “A year ago, almost on the same date, the media tried to tell my story for me, and control my narrative, and I’m just not accepting that.”
As she continued she said, “So today, it came out that me and my boyfriend have broken up. It was confirmed by a reliable source, even though no one is reliable in the relationship except the individual who are participating in it”.
Miley conclude by saying the Simpson and her have been friends for over 10 years and plan to keep it that way, as they continue to be in each other’s life. And at last she warned to “not make it something that it is not”.
