Cardi B banged 2021 with her new music video ‘UP’ released at midnight on 5 Feb.
The song starts, Cardi twerking in the graveyard marked ‘R.I.P 2020’ in crystal-encrusted funeral attire, with a fishnet veil and her signature red-bottom shoes.
Song released seven months after ‘WAP’, collaborated with Megan Three Stallion in August.
Cardi tagged with ‘Woman of the Year 2020’ by billboard magazine due to the phenomenal success of WAP.
Everyone’s favorite Megan Three Stallion faces criticism due to her explicit sexuality in WAP so Cardi takes a step back from this experience for not being extremely open about her sex life.
This time Cardi modify lyrics showing her dominance over rivals mentioning “If it’s up then it’s stuck” adding a classic expression for street beef, “stuck” meaning the strife’s going nowhere.
She also shows off her signature humor that the fan loves “If I had a dick, you’d probably lick it like a lollipop / Hoes speaking cap-enese, hit’ em with karate chop”.
After releasing ‘UP’ Cardi B gets herself in a controversy with New Jersey rappers Mir Pesos and Mir Fontane.
New jersey rappers claim that Cardi B steals their music from the song ‘Stuck’ which was released in September. Mir Pesos tweeted with the caption ‘They stealing’ comparing two songs saying ‘we want my money’.
Cardi responded by posting a story on Instagram in which she is singing and writing this song with the caption “From 7th August, I was working on this song, so sorry Lil boy never heard your song”.
Mir Fontane said, “The song ‘Stuck’ was released in September but we previewed the track with Youtube on August 6”.
After all these Cardi wrote “ I am not a person who likes to take everything in front of the judiciary but if you want then let’s take it to court” later she states “I am not the producer, if you have problem with beats then let’s talk legally, I don’t give a f**k, Get the F**K out of here.”
