Naya Rivera ‘Glee’ Actress is missing at a lake in California

The American actress, model and singer Naya Rivera was declared missing from Lake Piru in Ventura County on Wednesday evening and is feared that she might have drowned in the lake.

The search operation that was suspended on Wednesday evening due to dark was resumed on the first light on Thursday. It is confirmed that Naya Rivera with her 4 years old son came to Lake Piru and had rented a boat on Wednesday afternoon and both were seen going out on the lake together.

The Sheriff’s office spokesman, Sheriff Captain Eric Buschow said that after around three hours they both left the dock, one another boater found a boat drifting with the child asleep on board, after that all the authorities were notified to prepare a search party and the search began from air and with a dive team.

Naya Rivera who began her career as a child actress and model on the CBS sitcom “The Royal Family” and made guest appearances on a number of shows including “Family Matter” and “Baywatch” is feared to have drowned in the Lake Piru while she was out swimming with her 4 years old son.

According to Sheriff Captain Eric Buschow it is hard to get any information but the 4 years old child has revealed that they went swimming but the mother didn’t get back on the boat. Buschow said that the child had on a life vest and an adult life vest was found on the boat.

At the press conference Sheriff Captain Eric Buschow said that there were no evidence of any kind of foul play at this point and it may well be a case of drowning.

Ms Rivera married the actor Ryan Dorsey in 2014 and in 2015 she gave birth to their son, Josey Hollis.

As the news of her disappearance came out many of her fans and colleagues came in support and tweeted prayers for her.

 Her co-star Harry Shum Jr posted a tweet on Wednesday saying “Praying…” whereas  Iqbal Theba posted, “Oh God…… Mercy…. Please.”

Naya Rivera made her first featured film debut with the horror film “At the Devil’s Door” in 2014 as Vera. She was casted as a high school cheerleader on Fox’s musical comedy series “Glee” as Santan Lopez.

In 2011 Rivera was nominated for to ALMA Awards for the categories of Favourite Female Music Artist and Favourite TV Actress and in the following year she received the MTV’s Best Character, TV Guides Best Performance. The same year Naya Rivera announced that she had signed a deal with Columbia Records to produce a solo album, in 2013 she debuted single “Sorry” featuring rapper Big Sean, though later the Columbia Records dropped her off because of her underperformance of the debut single.

As for now there is still no news on where Naya Rivera is still missing and her 4 years odl son is safe with his relatives.
