The American actor, producer and rapper Will Smith who got his first breakthrough in film industry with two major roles in a drama film “Six Degree of Separation” in the year 1993 and an action film “Bad Boys” in the year 1995. His career to a huge turn after the release of the movie “Independence Day” in the year 1996 from where his journey of an action star began and took him to the legendary heights, after that he was offered roles that changed his life completely.

After his body transformation in the Ali his workout were in spotlight for years. To get into fighting shape Smith trained 5 day in a week for 6 hours per day. He did a lot of road work for this film that is running miles early in the morning alongside with the training of boxing and weight lifting. He bulked up, gained muscles and board shoulders. The dedication he had to transform his physique was commendable. To look like a heavy weight boxer he had to put in all the efforts he could and he did exactly that. He gained 35lbs of muscles going from 185 to 220, he had to strengthen his core and increase his strength and stamina to portray Muhammad Ali in the film “Ali”.

Then the road to the blockbuster film Bad Boys took his fitness to an extra level up, though in the first instalment of the film he looked lean and tall but had less muscles and bulk in him. Then the second instalment of the film “Bad Boys 2” came which had him look bulkier and made him have boarder shoulders and chest. With the noticeable difference in his fitness and physique he captivated millions of hearts.

His workouts were always dependent on the film he was doing and so was his diet. For the movies like “I, Robot” and “Hitch” he kept it light on weights and solely focused on his shoulders. The film Hitch was not an action movie which had it easier on him and he stayed as he always preferred to with not too much bulk or muscles but not particularly lean. For the film “I, Robot” he still took the road work alongside with boxing and focusing on his shoulders. He had a body fat percentage of 12 to 7.5 which was pretty good.

Likewise he worked according to the demand of the film. Now with the aging effect Will Smith was advised to skip the heavy weight lifting as it was no longer good for his health and had to force few changes to his healthy life style to keep away from injuries and other issues.

As the actor has reached his early 50’s now he focuses now light weights and more rep but pushing it to hard is not his style so finding a soft spot he works the reps to the max of 10 or 12.

With strictly following diet and making sure what he eats is healthy with a few cheats on chicken as almost all celebs need a few doses of protein. He keeps his fitness on check with just few normal inbound rules that help him to easily maintain his physique. Rules such as no drinking policy, paying attention on what he eats, not leaving bodyweight exercise, using light weights to avoid injuries and a few more.
