The singer song-writer Jake Miller has penned down an epic tune for the epic couple of ‘FRIENDS’ “Ross & Rachel”.
The 10 years of on and off love story of Rachel and Ross on the NCB sitcom has inspired Jake Miller a die-hard fan of the show ‘FRIENDS’ to write and perform an anthem about their iconic romance. It took around 16 years for Rachel and Ross to finally be together for good; when Rachel gets off the plane which was bound to go to Paris just to be with Ross for good.
The song “Ross and Rachel” tells the story about them from the starting; out as friends and ending up as lovers.
Jake Miller released the song by Youtube to his 680,000 subscribers and is only in audio so far. The 27 years old singer was almost 2 years old when ‘FRIENDS’ made its debut on 23rd September 1994. Although now its can be streamed by anyone and can watch the epic on and off love story of Ross and Rachel in play for over 10 seasons.
While describing the song Jake Miller told PEOPLE that; “Ross was in love with Rachel before she even knew it, and Rachel waited years for her to notice it. True love is worth the wait and that’s what I wrote in my song”; and as he continued he talked about how it’s all about being in a relationship which progresses over time; a relationship which starts out as friends and ends up in deep love connection.
Jake Miller also revealed that he wanted the song to have same nostalgic feel as FRIENDS. He revealed that FRIENDS was his favourite show and ‘Ross & Rachel’ are his all-time favourite TV couples.
Miller used Jennifer Aniston and David Scwimmer’s most iconic scenes to the song by his Instagram account.
He sings “I was falling fast, falling fast but you never noticed”, over cute scenes of Jennifer (Rachel) and David (Ross); scenes like where Ross shows Rachel how to do laundry for the very first time.
He used scenes like when Rachel was in her soaking wet bridal gown walking past the central park and met Ross for the first time in years; or the scenes where they fell into each other’s arms and kissing; or when Ross opens the door and finds that Rachel has not left him and the New York City for good.
