Karlie Kloss – known for her panther walk on runways

Discovered at a fashion show in 2006 and now a 36-time cover girl for Vogue Karlie Kloss is a force to be reckoned with. Karlie Kloss an American fashion super-model’s reputation proceeds her as she powers through the industry. Known for the Panther like a walk on the runway, she was the Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2013 until 2015.

The models.com has said once that Kloss “represents the gold standard of modelling – a girl with looks, the poise, and the drive to take things to the next level,” and ranked on their “New Supers” and “Money Girl” lists.

Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois. She and her family moved to Goshen, New York to supplement her modelling career. She called her called her classical ballet training “a beautiful thing” that her how to move in the modelling world and it was a great training ground for her runway walks. She graduated from Webster Groves High School in 2011,where she was a cheerleader.

It was around 2006 at the age of 14 when she got her first break in the modeling career where she posed for a cover and editorial shoot for the June issue of Scene Magazine in Chicago.

Her first credited modelling shoot was photographed by Arthur Elgort for Teen Vogue. In January she left Elite Management and signed with Next Managemenr.  She walk 31 runways in New York Fashion Week, notably walking exclusive for Clavin Klein. After this she walked 20 shows in Milan and 13 in Paris for the fall 2008 collection.

Her runway walk, one of the most unusual is often described as powerful. Her long legs, height and precise placement of one foot perfectly in front of the other in fluid motion created a magnificent show to watch and distinguished her catwalk stride. Kloss described her runway walk as  “moody Gait”. In 2011 she renewed her contract with Christian Dior for the third season in a row. Kloss featured in September cover of British Vogue, Japanese Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Russia and Numero.

In April 2018, Kloss was announced as Estee Lauder’s newest Global spokesmodel and Brand Ambassador. In October 2018, she confirmed that she would be stepping in Heidi Klum’s shoes on the 7^th season of the Project Runway as the host and executive producer.

 Kloss began dating businessman and investor Joshua Kushner in 2012 and in the mid of 2018 Kloss announced her engagement. On October 18,2018 the couple tied a knot in upstate New York.
