Deepika Padukone gets featured in Times 100 impact award !

Deepika Padukone has another feather in her hat for her work towards mental health.

Recently with her new project geraihyan has garnered a lot if accolades from her fans. The kind of emotions she portrayed in this new age movie.

Yet her talent is not restricted to just her work in the field of cinema. today we have another reason to rejoice and be proud of. We today all of us woke up to a great news. Deepika Padukone got honor to feature in the times 100 impact awards. Deepika shared this news on her Instagram handle. She said what a great morning it is to wake up to such a great honor.

Many other great politicians, activist, reformers, artist and scientist also surface in the list of impact awards.

Many others like singer and songwriter ellie Goulding, will.i.am and U.A.E minister of science and technology also surfaces in the list among others.

Deepika Padukone got this award due to her great contributions in the field of mental health. As we all know Deepika Padukone has always advocated for the cause of the mental health.

Further she has mentioned so many times that her personal experience has shaped her choices for the movie she selects.

Her foundation Live laugh love has been doing great work in the field of destigmatizing the mental disorders, anxiety and depression. The foundation has achieved great success. The fact that being celebrity Deepika has come out with great courage about her own depressive phase she went through has made her an icon.

It is noteworthy that Deepika was diagnosed with depression in 2015. She has fought through that phase and come out successfully. Since then, she has been creating a movement to make mental health a priority in the Indian household. Also,She mentioned that she knows that not to talk about it means she will be dishonest towards herself and to all those who are going through the same phase.

Deepika on work front seems to be quite busy these days. As she has just wrapped up her schedule for the movie Pathan with Sharukh and john Abraham in Spain. 

Apart from that she has many other projects lined up namely fighter with hrithik roshan and project K with Prabhas.

Meanwhile she has one period drama where she is working in Mahabharat where narration is from the perspective of Draupadi.
