100% Occupancy In Theatres: YRF and More Set To Release Films July 2021 Onward

You heard it right, the wait is almost over. The Central government has finally allowed a hundred per cent occupancy in all the cinemas. Some State governments, although, are yet to allow it as a precautionary measure against the pandemic. The good news is we now have a list of upcoming movies with release dates!

After the government’s announcement on February 1st, the production houses were shocked and worked up. The producers are on their toes and trying to grab release dates with the least competition. One of them is the audience’s favourite, the Yash Raj Films.

A source confirmed that YRF always believed in theatrical release of their movies and were not a big fan of OTT platforms. YRF has got a few films all set for release and they happen to save them for a post-pandemic old school blockbuster release. Even though certain OTT platforms did offer them with a huge paycheck they still chose to wait till everything was normal. 

So all you gotta do is wait until July of this year. Big directors and producers like Aditya Chopra who have been very patiently waiting for normalcy and cinemas to function properly, are now all set to reveal the dates to mark our calendars. YRF specifically is planning to release their kitty movies July onwards this year.

We have a list for you for some of the most awaited releases.

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti starrer YRF’s Sandeep and Pinky Faraar which was set to release last year in March will hit the cinemas soon. Another fun movie Bunty and Babli 2, starring Rani Mukherjee, Saif Ali Khan, Siddharth Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari Wagh is the sequel of the 2005 blockbuster by the same name.

Rohit Shetty yesterday announced the release date of Akshay Kumar starrer, Sooryavanshi on April 2nd.

Another promising super hit movie is none other than SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starring Pathan which as you all may have guessed is set to be released this Diwali.

Prithviraj and Shamshera are another two period drama movies yet to be released with some new faces and fresh talents.
