August Alsina while being straightforward about his alleged romance with Jada Pinkett Smith who is a mother to Jaden Smith and Willow Smith claims that his relationship was blessed by Will Smith.
In an interview with Breakfast Club’s Angelo Yee, August Alsina suggested that Jada Pinkett Smith’s and Will Smith’s relationship is an open relationship, “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership,” he said. “He gave me his blessings.”
Though the rumours of their relationship swirled sometime after they were introduced to each other by Jaden Smith, the track “Numya” which was released in 2019 by August Alsina fuelled the speculations as the lines said, “You got me feeling like it was an act, you’re just an actress/ putting on a show ‘cause you don’t want the world to know”. When confronted if the song “Numya” was for Jada Alsina denied these claims and insisted that “Numya” was not for Jada Pinkett Smith and was just a normal song.
August Alsina was very emotional as he explained his feelings and love for Jada Pinkett Smith as she is the only person he ever loved and the way he poured and devoted himself for many years into their relationship.
While Will Smith aged 51, has stood his grounds saying nothing will ever end his relationship with his “life partner” Jada Pinkett Smith, as he has already said previously that, “we refer ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with someone for the rest of your life. There is no deal breaker; there is nothing she could do – ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”
Whereas Jada Pinkett Smith last year has already admitted that she and Will Smith no longer celebrate their wedding Anniversary as to their marriage has changed over the course of many years. As she said, “It’s more of a life partnership, so it’s not steeped in that day”, to which she added, “We don’t really celebrate that day anymore in the sense because the context of our union is totally different.”
August Alsina revealed as to why he chose to pone up about all this was that he is nit okay with his character being questioned as he said, “what I’m not okay with is my character being in question,” to which he added that, “I’m not a troublemaker. I don’t like drama.”
While revealing about his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith, Alsina also told Angelo Yee that leaving the relationship totally butchered him saying, “It almost killed me. Not almost, it did—it pushed me into being another person.” As he continued saying that, “It broke me down…. it probably will be the hardest thing I ever had to experience in this life time.”
Even now the couple has yet to make any comment on what August Alsina has claimed.
