Taylor Swift is all set to release her album titled ‘Fearless’(Taylor Swift) version. She was very busy even during the pandemic because of ‘On the heels of 2019’s Lover and 2020 Netflix Documentary.
Swift launched Two albums in the last seven months only. She has a legal fight for control over her past recordings.
This album is a recording of the prerelease album Fearless 2008. It contains remake songs of Fearless and also includes six bonus tracks which she writes during 2008 but never releases.
In her Twitter post, she tweeted regarding her plans-
Swift posted on Instagram “ I have spoken so many times about remaking of my first six albums but the way I will re-record these will help to put some sun rays where I am coming from”. “Artists own their work for many reasons but the most important one is that the real talented know that body of work”
In 2008 Taylor Swift released her album ‘Fearless’ by Nashville Label Big Machine. Which became a breakthrough for her and won four Grammy Awards with selling more than 10million copies in the United States.
As per the old contract, Taylor didn’t have the right to control her recordings but gets a royalty for her music. Scooter Braun purchased Big Machine with all rights of Swift’s master recording in a $300million deal but Taylor and Braun have conflicts so Taylor wants to end the contract with him.
Her contract with Big machine ended in 2019 and she signed a new contract with Universal Music Group, according to which she will have all rights to her master recording.
Swift claims that she was bullied by Braun for years but he declines all allegations. “This what happened when you contracted with someone at age of 15 with a money-minded person for whom loyalty is just a contractual concept and when that person says ‘Music has a value’ by this he directly states that its value is held to a man who had no contribution in making it,” Swift wrote in 2019 on Tumblr.
