No one could have given the justice which the iconic character of Wolverine deserved better than Hugh Jackman. The iconic role of a dysfunctional mutant with the demeanour, the uncanny ability to selfheal and those indestructible adamantium claws, the immortal street fighter, The Wolverine couldn’t have come to life if not because of Hugh Jackman, for more than a decade the Australian British actor has taken up the role and is higher unlikely to be given to anyone.

The Wolverine if recent movies look far more like what Hugh Jackman imagined when he first landed the role. In an interview Jackman explained what kind of look he wanted, “I want Logan to look animalistic, savage, carnal, veins popping out, and coiled like spring. I wanted audience to say, ‘OK, this guy could quite easily rip someone’s head off’ that was the goal”.

To achieve the look that deserved the title of Wolverine, Hugh Jackman spent most of his time in gym with persistent work out regimes, reps and the outrageous diet plans, of course the engine needs fuel to work and so does Hugh Jackman to take the form of “The Wolverine”.

Could anyone believe that before the starting the role of a dysfunctional mutant Jackman was known for his performance as a singer and dancer? It was a huge gamble and risk when the director of the X Men film series Bryan Singer picked Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, while his body wasn’t very well defined, and wasn’t too scrawny and it was all hidden under a heavy leather costume, but as the idea of Hugh Jackman being Wolverine grew, the dedication of Jackman rapidly increased too and soon the bulk and increase in muscles were noticeable. The border shoulders and well defined body were only the starting of the path from where Hugh Jackman took the iconic Character of Wolverine to where it is at today date and brought that comic character to life. Soon Jackman convinced everyone that he had what it took to portray the role of the dysfunctional mutant, with each scene, even with the way he chomped on the cigar or his savage and animalistic nature. He reached the peak of his aesthetic fitness. His biceps looked indestructible and ready to burst with raw iron out of them, his chest and shoulders were way better defined and with the development of a slimmer waist it made his body have the ‘V Shape’ look making him look more like a man who could rip someone without breaking a sweat.

In an old interview Hugh Jackman explained how every day he use to walk in his living room with those claws just to get used to them and how he got scars on legs, cheeks and forehead; and how lucky he felt when he didn’t tell the tem of the film about how clumsy he was when he auditioned for the role.

While the film “Logan” was released he was pushing 50 and even though he did lost the bulk which he gained it didn’t affect the character as it show that how Wolverine wasn’t healing the way he used to and can’t rebound to fight as fast as he use to even so the brute force of the character didn’t diminish and he was still is beast when enraged.
