On Tuesday episode of Zane Lower’s Apple Music show, the hit singer of Chandelier revealed, that she is a grandmother now, “My youngest son just had two babies. I’m a fucking grandma! I’m just immediately horrified, no, I’m cool.” As she continued “They call me Nana. I’m trying to get them to call me Lovely, like Kris [Jenner].”

While many celebrities try keeping their personal lives private, Sia seems to have taken it to a very different level, she likes to keep her life outside of the stoplight.

In an interview on Sirius XM Radio back in May 2020, Sia revealed that she was mom to two kids, who she adopted back in 2019 and they were 18 years old. And now she is a grandma in record time.

Even though the Australian singer is getting used to being a grandmother, people and friends close to her say that being a mother comes to her naturally and so does being a grandmother will soon.

The Grammy nominated artist Sia revealed that her journey to mother hood has left her “Jaded” about foster system. As she discloses the fact that her sons had suffered “Conditions and complex trauma” in their foster care but have being very well recovered and blooming since they came out of the system. “It’s failing us… not in my experience, in my son’s experiences. They have been in 18 different locations in their 18 years” said Sia.

Sia shared that “I’m embarrassed that it took me to adopt two black sons to really understand what they go through on a daily basis”, to which she added that, “I am very scared for my children. I love them very much. I’ve only experienced white privilege and I know that now. I’m fully aware of how much I’ve experienced white privileged, and now I have these two black sons who tell how it really is.”

Sia who started her career as a singer in the acid jazz band Crisp in the 1990’s, the band disbanded in 1997 after that she released her debut studio album titled “Only See” in Australia. After that she moved to London, England where she provided vocals for the British duo Zero 7.

In 2010, Sia released her 5th studio album, “We Are Born”, which peaked at N.O 2 on the ARIA Album Chart and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Following that year at the ARIA Music Awards of 2020, the album “We Are Born” earned Sia two categories won: Best Independent release and Best Pop Release. While the album “We Are Born” got her fame it also pushed her towards drugs and alcohol on the road; she even considered suicide.

In 2013, Sia released “Elastic Heart” featuring, The Weekend and Diplo for the sound track of the American film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013. In July 2014, Sia released her 6th studio album, “1000 Forms of Fear” which debuted at No. 1 in the US Billboard 200 with first week sales of 52,000 copies, the album, “1000 Forms of Fear” peaked at No.1 in Australia and reach the top ten of charts in numerous European regions. After which she rose to prominence.
