Will smith’s projects land up in trouble due to slap controversy at oscars.
In a series of events that followed the will smith’s Oscar slap moment. Netflix has put a halt on release of his new movie. Smith has landed up in a great controversy after hitting Chris Rock in the Oscar over joke. Entire world condemned his act of violence. After which will smith released an official apology to the world. Also he withdrew his membership from the academy association.
Due to all this fiasco happening around all the projects of Will smith are going to suffer. That includes according to the sources Netflix has decided to put a strong hold in the movie Fast and loose. It is noteworthy that this movie is under its development stage and will smith is the lead in it.
It seems the trouble for this movie fast and loose are not getting ended soon. because the director of this movie David leitch has left the movie in between and withdrew himself from this project. Apparently David Leitch is more interested in working in the movie Fallen guy of Ryan gosling.
His others projects like emancipation was also to release soon but the dates have not been out yet. Apart from that the makers had approached Will smith for Bad boys 4. But keeping in view the recent dramatics around the slap controversy it seems Sony is also putting project on hold.
Will smith has lately released a good lengthy apology. He mentioned that his actions were inexcusable. Furthermore he went on to feel the regrets. Smith said he is sorry that because of this incident great work of many creative people did not get the appreciation as they should have.
He further remarked that he wants to bring the focus on people who have worked hard on their respective projects. Will Smith said he is appreciative of the fact that academy has been encouraging all the good works over the years and he does not want an incident like this to overshadow that work and efforts.
As far as Chris Rock is concerned, he has refused to file an FIR against Will Smith. Also in his comedy show he mentioned that he is still in the shock. Chris mentioned that he still is registering what had happened to him that night.
But as Dezel Washington remarked about the incident that some evil devil had definitely over powered Will smith that unfortunate night.
Now we are to see if this incident is a deal breaker for Will smith or not. How his upcoming project will suffer because of the assault he carried live in front of billion of people.
