The American actor and disc jockey Danny Masterson known for his role of Steven Hyde in “That 70’s show” (1998-2006) and Jameson “Rooster” Bennett in “The Ranch” (2016-2018) was accused of rape charges in three separate alleged cases that occurred nearly two decades ago.

On Tuesday a warrant was filed against Masterson foe 3 counts of rape by force in the alleged assault of 3 different women in between the years 2001 and 2003.

The prosecutor’s office said that Masterson aged 44 has been charged of raping a 23 years old women in between January and December 2001, a 28 years old women in April of 2003 in his home and a different 23 years old women after inviting her to his Hollywood hills home sometime between October and December of 2003.

The Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller of the Sex Crime Division, who is prosecuting the case, said all of the alleged crimes occurred at Danny Masterson’s home in Hollywood hills.

According to the Masterson’s lawyer, the actor is shocked over the charges, “Obviously, Mr Danny Masterson and his wife are in complete shock considering that these cases are nearly 20 years old allegations are suddenly resulting in charges being filed, but they and their family are comforted knowing that ultimately the truth will come out” adding to which Mesereau said that, “The people who know Mr Danny Masterson knows his character and know the allegation are to be false.”

Inmate records show that Masterson was booked into Los Angeles County Jail on Wednesday and released on bond al about 2:45 p.m. local time. The bail was set at 3.3 million dollars. But if convicted as charged, Danny Masterson has to face a possible maximum sentence of 45 years to life in state prison.

Masterson is a Scientologist; he married Bijou Phillips on October 18, 2011. In the early 1990’s, Masterson has a role in Beethoven’s 2nd and starred in Cybill , soon Danny Masterson wanted to move on from Cybill and so he auditioned for a show originally titled as the Teenage Wasteland, which later was changed to “That 70’s Show”. His career got a break through after the launch of “That 70’s Show”, after this show Danny Masterson starred in several movies and made guest appearances on television shows which include Punk’d and MADtv. In 2010, Danny Masterson portrayed Jerry Rubin in “The Chicago 8”. In 2011 Danny Masterson came as a guest starred in UAS Networks “White Collar” as James Roland. In 2012 Danny Masterson appeared in two movies “Men at Work” which was premiered on TBS and “After Egos” which was directed by Jordan Galland. Danny Masterson has worked alongside Sam Elliott, Ashton Kutcher and Elisha Cuthbert in the Netflix web comedy series “The Ranch”

Under the name if DJ Donkey Punch, Danny Masterson began DJing in Los Angeles night clubs in 1997 just as hobby but soon it began as his side business, and currently Danny Masterson goes by the name DJ Mom Jeans.
