The fact that everyone loves romantic movies is already proven by many. The beauty of passion, dedication, loyalty and faith in one another takes us to a dreamland where we ourselves imagine how we want our love stories to be. Even though we have a pretty strict opinion about the do’s and don’ts of PDA but we leave the love unbridled. Even so as a society and humanity we all have never or can say we have always failed to understand the actual concept of love or the consensus on the rules of romance. Anyhow the love for romantic movies never changed; so here are 5 must watch romantic movies for all the movie junkies out there especially the once who have a special soft corner for romantic movies, these 5 movies are a must watch. So here we go.

5 Call Me By Your Name (2017)

A coming of age romantic drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Ander Aciman. The film is the final instalment of Guadagnino’s thematic “Desire” trilogy. The film is set in the 1983’s in Northern Italy which shows the romantic relationship between 17 years old, Elio Perlman and 24 years Oilver a graduate student who is also an assistant to Elio’s father. The film portrays a powerful affection of first love. “Call Me By Your Name” is a rare gay love story where the ending of the story does not end with one having HIV or someone getting beaten. The film got fairly positive reviews and grossed about 41.9 million dollars.

4 Shakespeare In Love (1998)

It is a 1998’s romantic period comedy drama film directed by John Madden and written by Marc Norman. The film depicts what the tile says “Shakespeare in love”, an imaginary love affair involving play writer William Shakespeare and Viola de Lesseps while Shakespeare was writing “Romeo and Juliet”. And how William Shakespeare would sneak in the ball to meet Viola de Lesseps. The film received positive reviews from the critics and made a grossing of about 289.3 million dollars worldwide.

3 Before Sunrise (1995)

The romantic drama film was directed by Richard Linklater and was written by Linklater and Kim Krizan. The film follows a young American man Jesse and a young French woman Celine, who meet on a train and disembark in Vienne, where they spend the night walking around the city and getting to know each other and falling in love with each other, if said then it is a perfect ode to love strained by limits, with their limited time together which is always on their minds which leads to each revealing a lot about themselves to each other because both initially believed that they will never see each other again.

2 Eternaql Sunshine of the Spotless Minds (2004)

The American science fiction romantic drama film was written by Charlie Kaufman and was directed by Michel Goundy. The film uses element of the psychological thriller and a nonlinear narrative to explore the nature of memory and romantic love. The film follows an estranged couple who erased each other from their own memories after the split.

1 Titanic (1997)

The epic romance and disaster film “Titanic” which was released in 1997 is one of the best romantic films ever with passion, pain, dedication, trust and desire all the emotions portrayed in one epic movie which even after years can bring one to tears toward the end. The film was directed by James Camerson. The film follows two people of different social classes falling in love, aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
