Being an actor has never been easy, the expectation of the audience and the role you are going to portray is always nerve racking. And as the roles get bigger the expectations also increases with the work load and the dedication one needs to give reaches its peak many falls down and there are many how set examples of themselves and one such legendary and prominent actor is Sylvester Stallone.

The American actor, director, producer and artist Sylvester Stallone who didn’t had a smooth sailing in the beginning of his acting career, as he struggled a number of years after arriving to New York City in 1969 and later in Hollywood in1974; is now one of the most legendary actors in the Hollywood industry; where once Sylvester Stallone struggled to get small role but after Rocky went down in the cinematic history, he carved his own place in Hollywood.

The beginning of his career he was a thin, less defined and a softcore actor struggling to make a path for himself in the glamour industry, he donned his beast mode in the Rocky and Rambo films and since then Sylvester Stallone physique transformed and even as he entered the final stages of his career the built of his body, the bulk of his muscles and the well-defined core he possesses are enough to bring any bodybuilder to shame. He took himself through a whole new level to get where he is today.

The transformation of Sylvester Stallone’s physique began from the film Rocky. Though Stallone was far from the jacked monster he is today, he gained some pounds and gave himself muscular definition. Three years later after his most popular character made its debut; Stallone began to beef up and started taking the beast mode seriously. Soon without wasting time Stallone’s dedication for building up could be seen, his abs were popping out. Scarfing down protein shakes, doing triceps push downs, he was seemed to have reached down in the single digit body fat percentages. Sylvester Stallone had seriously gone into the professional body building at the time of Rambo III, he was a machine gun wielding destroyer with a headband. The words jacked and well defined were too less to define the breadth taking built of Stallone’s body.

After 1998, Stallone saw a downward spiral in his career. The film like “Judge Dredd” and “The Specialist” saw his fatigue.

Rocky Balboa (2006) saw him more muscular endomorph with more muscle and wide shoulder and the intimidating body built, it was just amazing how he kept himself in shape through the twilight of his career.

The Expendables came out in his 60’s yet no one could have matched his impressive physique and he still continued to defy his physical boundaries. Even now at the age of 74 he doesn’t just hits gym, he demolishes it.

At the time of Rocky III, Sylvester Stallone dropped his body fat percentage to a potentially dangerous of 2.9%, which did earn him a place in the Guninness Book of World’s Record, but this lifestyle was unsustainable and made him feel like a zombie on the set.

Even at the age of the 74, Stallone without any argument still has the best action hero physique with tremendous shape and muscles mass in Hollywood.

And as for Stallone’s workout regime, he hits gym 6 days a week, while training hard twice a day. His workout has a full body approach; the idea of maximum efforts to lose fat and to grow muscle simultaneously while training is what Sylvester Stallone has followed.

As Sylvester Stallone focuses on strength and weight loss, the diet plan he follows is quite similar to that of body builders with high levels of proteins and carbs and a moderate level of fat intake.
