Rajinikanth will be awarded with the 2019 Dadasaheb Phalke honor, the public authority declared today. He will get the honor on May 3.
In a salutary tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “it involves monstrous happiness that Thalaiva has been met with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award”. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami addressed Rajinikanth on the telephone and complimented him.
In tweets, the entertainer expressed gratitude toward the public authority, PM Modi, Mr. Javadekar, and the jury for the honor. “I earnestly devote it to each one of the individuals who have been a piece of my excursion,” he said.
Reacting to PM Modi’s wishes, Rajinikanth said he is “humbled and privileged” with his good tidings and the honor.
The declaration of the top honor for Rajinikanth, 70, comes only days before the get-together political decision in Tamil Nadu where his biggest fan base is.
Association Minister Prakash Javadekar reacted strongly to an inquiry connecting the two. “This is an honor identified with the film world and Rajinikanth has been working for 50 years…one should pose legitimate inquiries,” he said.
The jury this year for the esteemed honor included playback symbol Asha Bhosle, chief maker Subhash Ghai, Malayalam hotshot Mohanlal, music composer, and vocalist Shankar Mahadevan and Biswajeet Chatterjee.
Congrats poured in for Rajinikanth minutes after the information on the honor broke, with #Rajinikanth among the top patterns on Twitter.
Communicating his bliss, entertainer Kamal Haasan tweeted in Tamil and said Rajinikanth, who has demonstrated that he can prevail upon fans by showing up on the screen, merits the honor “100%”.
He has been regarded with the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan before.
Rajinikanth was brought into the world on December 12, 1950, in a Maratha family in Karnataka. The entertainer, who began as a transport conductor, is among the most funded stars in India.
