With many disheartening tweets shared by celebrities against the farmers, Deol family happens to add to the list. It is evident that Punjab and Haryana adored the family at one point but it does not seem to be the case anymore.
The crew of an upcoming movie Love Hostel was going ahead with a set up and arranging a shoot when a few farmers spotted them. There were no star casts but the protesters asked the crew members to leave as the movie star Bobby Deol along with Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra.
They expressed their anger as they believed that the Deol family did not back the farmers at the protests and not once voiced against the injustice they were facing. But when a celebrity from abroad (Rihanna) tweeted in favour of them, suddenly the whole family went against her. They claimed if internal matter was what they are so concerned about then why have they been quiet until now.

Hema Malini’s Tweet read, “I’m intrigued by foreign celebrities to whom our glorious country, India, is just a name they have heard, boldly making statements about our internal happenings and policies! Wonder what they are trying to achieve, and more imptly, who are they trying to please?”
The initial silence and the sudden voice against their movements was not very settling for the farmer protesters, especially the ones from Punjab and Haryana. The farmers have been sitting at the border for two months now and the farmers have not received support from them. Their only appeal to the centre is to take back the law that takes away their rights on their products.
The whole disheartening led to farmers further adding that they shall make sure that none of the Deol family members will be allowed to shoot in either states and may not even let them enter.
