Vicky Kaushal has bagged many great movies after his performance in Uri and no doubt very deservingly, so. He is right now finishing Shashank Khaitan’s Mr. Lele starring along with Kiara Advani and Aditya Dhar’s Ashwatthama. We know that YRF had been thinking of casting him and Manushi Chillar together and now we have a name for their YRF venture.
A source revealed that the untitled project may now be called The Great Indian Family or as we like to shorten it, TGIF. Manushi Chillar who had mesmerized everyone with her smile and won the title of Miss World 2017 was the first pick of Chandraprakash Dwivedi to star along with Akshay Kumar as Sanyogita, in their upcoming YRF project Prithviraj Chauhan.
TGIF is believed to be a ‘madcap comedy of errors’ and Vicky Kaushal’s first full comedy film. The film will most probably cover the story of a dysfunctional family which explains the title. Obviously, they named it TGIF as it is a Gen Z or millennial term. Aditya Chopra has not quite finalized the title and we believe that it may change later.
It was reported that TGIF is completed but it is going to be set aside for a while. YRF believes that Manushi’s big debut has to be Prithviraj Chauhan which is set to release this year Diwali. Hence they will wait until next year to release TGIF.
