Actor Kangana Ranaut has now withdrawn her suit against BMC. Kangana, after her discussion with her attorney Birendra Saraf had pleaded the civil court to dismiss the notice she had received from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in 2018. The notice was against her residency located at Khar. The notice explicitly condemned her for supposed unevenness of the actor’s Khar residency. The court had dismissed her appeal of 2018. This led her to take back the case on Wednesday this week.

The High Court had said that Kangana is given a period of 28 days to fill in an application for regularisation. Until then the HC had asked the BMC to step down from any kind of coercive action against the residence.

Kangana Ranaut’s hearing was held by Justice Prithviraj K Chavan, a single judge bench. The HC had ended the session with a verdict of giving the actor said, “In case of any adverse order against the appellant, no coercive action shall be taken two weeks thereafter by the BMC to enable the appellant to file appeal.”

The actor owns three flats in Orchid Breeze in Khar. She had been part of illegally merging the three flats. The actor believed that she had every right to do what she wanted to do as she had bought the houses. Whereas the notice that was served to her had clearly mentioned how her renovation ideas were butchering the sanctioned plan.

The argument against her appeal was simple that it was a violation of everything that the builders had been permitted to do with the master plan. This new input was only going to hamper the original sanctioned plan.

Kangana Ranaut and her counsel believe it is only a vendetta against her and she requires more time to move out. The BMC will most probably demolish the building.
