Kalki Koechlin

Kalki is known for speaking her mind. When we asked her about the casting couch she didn’t hold her words to speak against the dark side of Bollywood. “Yes casting couch is a real deal for struggling female actresses, industry powerful people also try to entangle me with their intension but the moment I feel uncomfortable, I walked away,” Kalki said.

 She recalled an incident once a producer asked her for late-night dinner to ‘know her better’ and promised her a movie if she accepts his offer, but Kalki refused the offer and she investigated that the film was never produced.

“Society doesn’t listen to you until you are not a famous personality, but if you are then it only becomes a hot topic for few days” Kalki added.

Swara Bhaskar

On many occasions, Actress Swara Bhaskar raises her voice against the sexual harassment of women in Bollywood.

She also faces such horrific situations and lost movies, for not compromising her body for the role.

Swara also told about the difficulty face by actresses during outdoor shoots. 

In an interview, she spoke about her experience of the film ‘Anarkali of Arrah’. 

Where she experienced intentional groping and taunting.

She advised struggling actress that “lose your role but don’t get on the couch”

Surveen Chawla

Surveen made her career in the Hindi television industry and try to move to big screens.

As explained by her, she didn’t face any casting couch in Bollywood, she thought it is due to her intelligent dealing, as no one gets any wrong sign from her.

She experienced such a situation in Tamil Movie Industry.

She got a chance to work in a south Indian movie and got the main role in a large budget movie under a famous director but she refuses the offer because the director’s friends call her and make an offer to sleep with the director.

Sherlyn Chopra

Sherlyn Chopra starred in the controversial Kamasutra 3D. She accused the producer of making sexual advances towards her.

As per Sherlyn’s interview, Director asked her to rehearse the sexual intimate scene with him, off-camera.

Later She filed an F.I.R against him.

Payal Rohatgi

Payal Rohatgi accused director Dibakar Banerjee of sexual harassment.

She had been selected for a role under Banerjee’s banner.

Both become friends during this process. 

According to her, one-night Director dropped her outside the house for a little chit-chat and later asked her to pull her shirt up, saying she gained little weight and he wanted to check it.

Payal refused his offer and ousted the director from her place.

Later she was replaced by a substitute.

Mamta Kulkarni

90’s Actress Mamta Kulkarni blames Rajkumar Santoshi for sexual favors to compromise for a movie during the shooting of the movie ‘China Gate’.

This news became the ‘Breaking News’ in newspapers but nothing happen.

Rumors claim that Kulkarni compromised her role but as per my view if she compromised then why she released this news publicly.

Tisca Chopra

Taare Zameen Par actress Tisca Chopra got a big name through this film but still, she faced the ugly side of the casting couch in Bollywood.

A famous director offered her a role and without wasting any time she agreed but she didn’t know what accepting the offer means, now she is her pet squeeze till the movie end.

One of her colleagues told her about this but luckily she escapes from the situation by rejecting the movie.

Chitrangada Singh

She is one of the sexiest and talented actresses in the Bollywood industry though she didn’t manage to get as many movies because of the ugly side of the industry.

Chitrangada Singh didn’t encounter a direct casting couch in Bollywood but face a similar incident.

During an intimate scene in the movie ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz,’ the director Kushan Nandy made her feel objectified.

In a kissing scene with Nawaz, the director use foul language and force her to re-shoot that scene with a prolonged kissing scene for 7 seconds.

She said “We had already shot the scene with full perfection but instantly Kusan changes the scene and told me to lie on top of Nawaz and retake the shot with 7sec long kiss”

She walked out of the set but after some conversation with Nawaz she was ready to work with Kushan but he didn’t call her back.

Preeti Jain

Preeti Jain was one of the females who come out initially to uncover the casting couch in Bollywood.

She filed a case against director Madhur Bhandarkar claiming that he raped her sixteen times after promising her that he will marry her and give her a break in Bollywood.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi started her acting career at a very young age.

She told openly that the casting couch is an open process in Bollywood.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh is a top-notch actor of the industry but he tells the story during his struggling period.

He claims that casting couch in Bollywood is a real deal.

He experiences it during his initial audition.

He told ” A director called me to his place in Andheri, I was very excited that i got a chance to face an audition. Later he told me ‘the one who is smart and sexy will reach the peak of Bollywood’ without looking at my portfolio. First, I didn’t understand later I refused his offer”.

“He requested like a girlfriend after I decline his proposal, He said We won’t do anything. Just let me feel it,” he added.

Later Ranveer got to know that this director pitch this offer in front of every actor.

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the young successful people in Bollywood. He started his career as the winner of a reality show to a TV anchor then an actor.

During his time as a TV anchor, one of the well-known directors offered him a lead role in his film but he asks him for sexual favors.

He denies his proposal but gets an experience of the other side of auditions.

“As an artist, if you have full confidence in your talent and potential then it will take you to heights”.

Aman Varma

Aman Varma started his career as an Indian television anchor and actor. He is known for hosting the game show ‘Khullja Sim Sim’ from 2001 to 2004. 

He also acted in famous movies like Bhagban, Lamhaa, etc.

Some people thought he is indulging in these practices so they did a sting operation on him.

He caught red-handed in a video, in which he was clearly seen harassing females during the audition and also in compromising posture with women.

No strict action was taken against him and still, he does such practices.

Shakti Kapoor

The famous villain of Bollywood Shakti Kapoor was caught during a sting operation in 2005.

A reporter pitched herself as a struggling actress in front of him and he offered a role to her if she is ready to let shakti use her sexually.

These stories clearly show the ugly side of Bollywood. Every shiny stuff is not gold.
